A happy new year to one and all!
Well the new year has started all white! We've had snow since before Christmas and it's still snowing now. I took these photo's in Nabs Wood this morning of the walls our dry stone walling courses have built over the past couple of years.
This is where the dickheads ripped out the plaques from the walls dislodging the copestones. But never mind, I have the plaques and I'll put them back into the walls once the snows have gone.
I couldn't resist taking a photo of my dry stone bridge looking very picturesque in the snow! The bridge spans the storm ditch at the bottom of my garden, just off the Trans Pennine Trail. The stream flowing under it is frozen which is the first time I've known it to do this!
We now have a group on facebook called (yes you guessed it!) Hadrian's Dry Stone Walls where there's a lot more information. It's URL is http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/group.php?gid=312635345321
